Interblocks iBank internet solution opens the web to AMEX customers in Sri Lanka

Colombo, May 17th, 2007. Nations Trust Bank announced the launch of a web based customer portal for their American Express Customers. This solution was designed and implemented by Interblocks and was built around their iBank, internet banking solution.

This latest project is yet another step in the Interblocks – NTB relationship which over the past few years have bought a range of new services to the Banks’ customers by opening up new channel banking avenues and providing more customized services.

Maintaining this vein of innovation this site is built on the latest WEB2 technology, and has the distinction of being the first such site in Sri Lanka. The site was designed to meet AMEX international standards and required co-ordination with the AMEX team in New York.

The internet portal enables customers to manage their account online including receiving online statements, viewing their account history and managing their details. The site also enables customers to pay bills, manage their loyalty programs and interact with customer service representatives online.

Quite apart from managing day to day transactions, this solution offers a whole new level of convenience to AMEX customers with several innovative solutions aimed at meeting the needs of clients in a busy environment. One such solution is an online credit extension, which enables customers to increase their credit limit temporarily to meet their requirements.

NTB has also signed up with several merchants to set up an online concierge service for their customers, enabling them to purchase and have delivered a variety of products and gift items, from flowers, to food items to home
wares.
